Water and Sustainable Development Goals (Water – Energy – Food nexus and the SDGs)
Water, Energy, and Food sectors are interlinked in a nexus wherein actions relevant to one sector can often influence other sectors to a high degree. Globally, there has been a growing focus on ensuring water, energy, and food security in different frameworks and models. Investigating and revealing the challenges versus opportunities within this WEF nexus is vital to coping with global challenges such as climate change and population growth.
